University of Idaho recently issued the following announcement.
What is Data Science?: Catalyzing Change in Idaho High School Math (Virtual)
Thu May 19th 5:00pm - 6:00pm (MDT)
This professional development course for in-service educators and administrators will focus on building awareness of how data is used in Idaho industries for high school mathematics educators. It will help them define data science and show connections between the Idaho Content Standards for Mathematics and data science. It will also provide teaching strategies and resources.
If interested, please complete this interest form by April 1, and more information will be emailed to you. Space is limited in this course; sign up soon if you are interested. Credit will be available for this course at no cost to participants.
These courses have been collaboratively designed by the Idaho Regional Math Centers and the Math Transitions Network (MTN). The MTN is a group of higher education and high school math educators working to build a successful transition from high school to college in Idaho High School Math.
