Teaching with Equity: Differentiating Instruction Using the Quantile Framework
Date:
Wed Jan 11, 2023
Time:
3:30pm - 4:30pm (MST)
This hands-on presentation offers insight into how the Quantile Framework for Mathematics can each be used to help differentiate instruction for all students in the everyday use of best practices. The presenters will demonstrate how to use Lexile measures to help EL students progress to and through their goals. These measures can also be used in the MTSS process to help our Tier 2 and Tier 3 students by measuring their progress and offering quantifiable goals. Exploring state specific math standards that have been aligned to the Quantile Framework provides educators a means of providing equitable instruction that is directly linked to their state and interim assessments. Using the Quantile Framework, educators have a means to determine the degree of difficulty between student ability and standards being taught as well as resources being used for instruction.
