Notice of Upcoming NWCCU Accreditation Visit | College of Eastern Idaho

The Northwestern Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)

will perform a comprehensive accreditation evaluation visit to College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) on April 12-14, 2023. A NWCCU evaluation team will meet with campus students, faculty and staff to evaluate CEI’s accreditation status, in conjunction with CEI’s 2023 Year Seven Self-Evaluation Report. In preparation for the April visit, CEI invites members of the CEI community, as well as members of the general public, to provide comments regarding CEI’s qualifications for accreditation.

All signed comments will be forwarded to the visiting evaluation team and to NWCCU. Comments should be sent directly to NWCCU by April 2, 2023, in order to be fully considered in the accreditation review: NWCCU (CEI Year Seven Self-Evaluation Report) 8060 165th Ave NE, Suite 200 Redmond, WA 98052 Stakeholders can submit comments electronically at the following link: https://nwccu.org/member-institutions/upcoming-evaluations

CEI is currently accredited through NWCCU. Accreditation through NWCCU means that CEI meets the Commission’s established standards of educational quality and effectiveness. A Year Three Mid-Cycle Evaluation Report was completed in February 2019 and NWCCU subsequently confirmed CEI’s accreditation status. A copy of NWCCU Policy A-5, Public Notification and Third Party Comments Regarding Full-Scale Evaluations can be found at the NWCCU website www.nwccu.org

(via the Standards and Policies and then Operational Policies links), or by contacting the Commission office at (425-558-4224).
