The Great Soviet Encyclopedia was a revolutionary project that aimed to transform all of human knowledge, remaking it in accordance with Marxist philosophies. Michael Coates, a postdoctoral fellow in East European Studies in the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences, will examine several episodes in the history of this encyclopedia.
